This is a sponsored post that I wrote on behalf of Print24. All opinions are 100% mine.
Whether you have a small company or are employed by a large company, business cards are an absolute must. They enable people you come in contact with to find you easily after the first meeting and reach you for possible partnerships, deals and jobs. However, it is up to you to make a good impression and ensure that everyone wants to follow you in the first place. Otherwise, you can always enter those business card drawings for free lunch at the local sandwich shop. 🙂
Anyway, I had the opportunity to order new Money Crashers business cards through Print24, a website that offers printing services for things like business cards, flyers and brochures. We had no business cards for the site before, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity to try it out.
Below you can see a screenshot of what the Print24 website looks like. You get a variety of different options (through the use of drop-down menus) to create a custom print job that meets your needs. For example, you can select the product (eg Business cards, stickers, calendars, etc.), Number of pages, size, paper type (eg Glossy or matte) and colors. Not the easiest to navigate, but it gets the job done.
One of the most important features of Print24 that makes it unique is FreeDesign, a tool that allows you to customize and create your own layout and design. There are quite a few design templates and options to choose from, so you should be able to come up with something unique. Here is an example.
A word of warning – before playing with your designs in FreeDesign, you must sign up for a Print24 account and iQueen or Heartsoggen. Apparently you cannot save anything unless you are logged in and if you have already started, you will lose everything.
Alternatively, you can also completely skip the design process and upload an existing file (pdf, jpeg or tiff) that you have for printing. This is what we went with at Money Crashers and we printed 1,000 business cards that look like this. I know it’s nothing special, but what do you think about it? You may even see one of these soon in the wiper of your car … just kidding.
The total cost for our order of 1,000 cards was around $ 15 with $ 6 shipping. Not bad at all. If you want to try it out, Print24 offers 250 free business cards (excluding shipping costs). That is a good deal considering that many people do not need more than 250 tickets.
Print24 seems like a good company to work with for your printing needs. Their website is not the best in the world and their ordering process can sometimes be a bit slow and awkward, but their customer service is pretty solid and the business cards themselves arrived quickly and on order.
I think Print24 can greatly benefit from redesigning their site and optimizing their ordering process, but at least they do their job well.

8 tips for multigenerational families – live with parents if you have children
I live in a fairly well-established environment with many retired people, and it seems that every week I hear about a family whose adult children are coming back, sometimes with grandchildren in tow. And the phenomenon isn’t just limited to my neighborhood – the AARP estimates that currently 5, 8 million children live in their grandparents’ homes
Do you have to run away from your home mortgage?
In the midst of the current housing market crisis, there is a percentage of people who have just decided to walk away from their mortgage. For some they had a role in making the decision and for others it was made for them. The two main reasons why people chose to do this are negative equity in the home and job loss, or a combination of both
